Help

Frequently asked questions

How do I switch between degrees and radians?

Press the DEG button above the display. It switches to RAD and applies to sin, cos, tan, csc, sec, cot and their inverses. In DEG mode sin(90) is 1; in RAD mode sin(pi/2) is 1.

Can I use the calculator in full screen?

Yes. Press Full screen above the display. The keys grow to fill the screen, which works well on Chromebooks, tablets and classroom projectors. Press it again or Esc to exit.

How do I get answers as fractions?

Press Decimal to switch to Fraction mode, so 0.75 shows as 3/4.

How do I use logs with other bases, roots and combinations?

Type logb(x, base), nthRoot(x, n), nCr(n, r) or nPr(n, r), or use the keys. log(x) is base 10 and ln(x) is the natural log.

Is it free? Do I need an account?

It is free and needs no sign-up. It works on phones, tablets, laptops and Chromebooks in any modern browser.
